A Brief FAQ regarding the current state of the Artist Loan Fund.-I am interested in the Artist Loan Fund, but I don't see any informational meetings scheduled. When is the next meeting? There are no Artist Loan Fund meetings scheduled at this time. The Artist Loan Fund is currently on hold. We plan to re-launch the Artist Loan Fund in the Spring 2010. -What happened to the ALF? Why is it on hold? ALF has been successfully making micro-loans to artists for over 12 years, totalling more than $800,000 in small business loans for artists. In Fall 2009 Springboard decided to put a temporarily hold on the origination of new loans to allow us to research and re-evaluate the program. We are looking into a number of variations and alternatives to the previous model with the intetion of making the ALF, more accessible and beneficial to artists. If you are interested in a new loan we apologize for the inconvenience during this temporary restructuring period. -Do you have information about the ALF before it was put on hold so I can can learnmore about it? Yes! All of the past information, including the application and FAQ are available below for download.
For example, loans have been used for: Artist applicants must attend an informational meeting before initiating the process. Meetings are scheduled monthly and are free.
