Health Care for Artists
Springboard for the Arts strives to connect artists to accessible and affordable healthcare.
In partnership with the Neighborhood Involvement Program (N.I.P.), Springboard's
Artists' Access to Healthcare (AAH) program provides uninsured and underinsured artists with a $40 voucher to use for medical services at the N.I.P. Community Clinic in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As an ongoing AAH service, Springboard for the Arts and N.I.P. have presented free health screening days for artists.
To help navigate the healthcare system, Springboard for the Arts maintains a free, online
Guide to Healthcare for Artists that includes connections to Minnesota's insurance providers, low-cost clinics and programs, and alternative care providers.
We also present a biennial, free Health Fair for Artists, which brings artists face-to-face with local healthcare providers in the community.
For unexpected, emergency medical expenses, uninsured and underinsured artists may qualify to access Springboard's Emergency Relief Fund.
