Healthcare in MN

Where can I get discounted healthcare?
Many clinics in Minnesota provide healthcare even if you don’t have insurance or your insurance doesn’t cover the care you need. The cost of care at these clinics may be free, low-cost, or vary depending on your income. Springboard’s AAH Program offers vouchers to use towards care at our clinic partners in the Twin Cities and Lake Region. Here, you’ll find options for medical, dental, mental healthcare, acupressure, acupuncture and fitness.

You can find more low-cost clinics by clicking here (under the “Get Health Care” tab use the “Find a Health Center” feature) and, below, listed under “Additional Resources.” The types of care you’ll find at each clinic varies. If you’d like some help locating the care you need, email

How can I find a clinic that accepts my health insurance?
Even though you have health insurance, it may not cover care at just any clinic. Your insurance company likely has a list of clinics that they work with. These are called “in-network” providers because they are within your health insurance’s network. Some plans still allow you to get care outside of these clinics (“out-of-network”), but you may end up paying more. Call the phone number on your health insurance membership card to ask how your health insurance works and where you can go for care.
