Get to know Springboard’s Artist Career Consultants (ACCs) through our monthly “Ask Me Anything” events! Join one of our Artist Career Consultants (and/or Springboard Staff) and a guest artist for a casual midday “Ask Me Anything” hosted by Springboard for the Arts. Our Artist Career Consultants or Springboard Staff will interview their artist colleagues and take questions from attendees throughout the hour. This event will be presented virtually, on Zoom.

Ask Me Anything: Music and Collaboration, with Yan Pang (ACC) and guest artist Adi Yeshaya.

Sharing about our consultation work and the artists powering it helps more communities learn about and access different resources and opportunities. We hope this series of AMAs with ACCs helps artists navigate their careers, gain the skills they need to reach their goals, and build a more just creative economy.


Yan Pang headshotYan Pang (she/they) Yan Pang is a composer, performer, and scholar. She is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music and Musical Director at Point Park University Conservatory of Performing Arts. She received her Ph.D. in Music with a minor in Theater Arts & Dance at the University of Minnesota. Her work focuses on inter-cultural composition and performance. A selection of her varied publications includes the album Glory Times (as songwriter and music director) by the China Scientific & Cultural Audio-Video Publishing Company, the scores “Nowhere Home” and “The Others” by Contemporary Music Score Collection 2020, UCLA, the peer-reviewed paper “Scene of Sichuan Opera” (co-author with Mingzhu Song), and the textbooks Cool Math for Hot Music, All About Music, Basic Music Technology, and The Future of Music (co-authored Guerino Mazzola et al.) by Springer.  Visit her website at




Photograph of Adi YeshayaAdi Yeshaya (he/him) is an Israeli-American composer, arranger and jazz pianist.

Graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Adi has been active, both as a musician and educator for nearly four decades.

His credentials include arranging and orchestration for many artists, including Prince, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Lena Horne, Doc Severinsen, Burt Bacharach, The Minnesota Orchestra, and The Swiss Youth Jazz Orchestra / Jazzaar. In addition, he has been a staff arranger for NBC The Voice.

As an educator, Adi has taught at the University of Minnesota, McNally Smith College of Music (St. Paul, MN) and Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA).

His CD Shammer Jam was released on March 2017.
