Have questions about Minnesota sales and use tax for your art studio, creative small business, ecommerce store or performing arts project? Jeff Gintz from the Minnesota Department of Revenue will cover basic sales and use tax concepts for Minnesota and its local taxing jurisdictions. This will include exemption certificates, documentation for tax records and returns, paying sales and use tax online, considerations around the production and manufacturing process (such as ceramic or fiber goods), and defining taxable services. Jeff will also provide resources, and answer your sales and use tax questions.

Jeff Gintz (he/him) works for the Minnesota Department of Revenue as a State Program Administrator, Principal. He is the program administrator for the Qualified Data Center program, Border City Enterprise Zones program, JOBZ, and the Greater Minnesota Jobs Expansion Program. Jeff also acts as the state agency liaison between the Department of Revenue and other state agencies. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. Jeff has more than 12 years of experience educating Minnesota taxpayers through audits, workshops, and presentations.
