Help us welcome Springboard's new Hinge Resident Artist, Hassaan Mirza, on a virtual Zoom meeting Tuesday, March 23rd, from 4 - 5pm!
Springboard's Hinge Artist Meet and Greets are free and open to anyone who is interested in meeting the artists in our program!
Join us virtually to hear more about Hassaan's art practice and what he will be working on during his residency, share your ideas and things you want Hassaan to know about the Fergus Falls community, and enjoy conversation with other community members and artists in an informal and welcoming setting through Zoom. Bring your favorite drink or snack while we connect!
About the Artist:
Hassaan Mirza (he/him) is a second-year MFA candidate in fiction at Vanderbilt University. Hailing from Lahore, Pakistan, Hassaan writes short stories and essays that are often invested in negotiating complex and contradictory identities in an ever changing global world fraught with violence. He serves as the editor of the creative nonfiction sections of the Nashville Review. His fiction, poems, and nonfiction have been published in The Aleph Review, The Missing Slate, and Chapter 16. He has received fellowships and grants to attend the New York State Summer Writers Institute and the Norton Island Residency. He is currently working on a collection of short stories and a novella.
Hassaan Mirza will be participating with Hinge Arts through an online and in-person residency from Monday, March 15th until Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 for the Career Development Program. You must register for this online meet and greet to receive the Zoom meeting invite and link!
