Help us welcome Springboard's new Hinge Resident Artist, Noelle Awadallah, on a virtual Zoom meeting Thursday, November 5th, from 5 - 6pm!

Springboard's Hinge Artist Meet and Greets are free and open to anyone who is interested in meeting the artists in our program!

Join us virtually to hear more about Noelle's art practice and what she will be working on during her online residency, share your ideas and things you want Noelle to know about the Fergus Falls community, and enjoy conversation with other community members and artists in an informal and welcoming setting through Zoom. Bring your favorite drink or snack while we connect!

About the Artist:
Noelle Awadallah نوال (she/her) is a Palestinian American maker, improviser, and teacher who resides in Mni Sota. Throughout her journey she has worked with Dakot-ta Camacho, Emma Draves, Jack Gray, leilawa, Zinforma, and joined Ananya Dance Theatre in 2019. Her work circles themes of transcendence of time, ancestor imaginings, listening, metaphor, falling into stereotypes, and storytelling. Improvisational practices guide her movement generating as an honest way to dig and share stories re-remembered from her body. Constantly curious, but currently investigating future-ness through acknowledgement of past. She has presented work in various spaces including Columbia College Chicago, National Students for Justice in Palestine Conference, Performathon Pique Art Space, Dear Gaza Block Party, and was a recipient of the Diyar Theatre مسرح دیار residency in Bethlehem, Palestine 2019. She recently began working in experimental short films as another form of storytelling. Her first film our home is asleep but there is a rumble was presented at the 13th Annual Mizna Twin Cities Arab Film Fest (2018). Her most recent film, an intimate exile was presented at the Addis Video Art Festival in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (2019). She holds a BFA from Columbia College Chicago (2018).
Noelle Awadallah will be participating with Hinge Arts through an online residency from Monday, November 2nd until Saturday, November 28th, 2020 for the Career Development Program. You must register for this online meet and greet to receive the Zoom meeting invite and link!
