Help us welcome Springboard's new Hinge Resident Artist, Lindsey Scherloum, on a virtual Zoom meeting Tuesday, May 11th, from 4 - 5pm!

Springboard's Hinge Artist Meet and Greets are free and open to anyone who is interested in meeting the artists in our program!

Join us virtually to hear more about Lindsey's art practice and what she will be working on during her residency, share your ideas and things you want Lindsey to know about the Fergus Falls community, and enjoy conversation with other community members and artists in an informal and welcoming setting through Zoom. Bring your favorite drink or snack while we connect!

About the Artist:
Lindsey Peck Scherloum (she/her) is a North Braddock, PA based artist who works in sculpture, photography, installation, and performance to create collaborative and participatory experiences that provoke narratives around ordinary objects, and environments as a means to connect her audiences across identity. She is especially interested in creating spaces for stories which are not yet part of mainstream discourse. To this end, she has worked with youth in Nyanza, Kenya, at the Braddock Youth Project, with people incarcerated at Allegheny County Jail and PA State Correctional Institute, and she was recently resident artist at United Somali Bantu of Greater Pittsburgh, through Pittsburgh’s Office of Public Art artist in the public realm residencies, where she working collaboratively with refugees from Somalia to solve community problems through creative strategies. Her work has been shown in spaces across the US including the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh, Mine Factory and the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, and has been published in journals such as Hot Metal Bridge and Fiber Art Now.
Lindsey Scherloum will be participating in Hinge Arts from Monday, May 10th until Saturday, June 12th, 2021 for the Career Development Program. You must register for this online meet and greet to receive the Zoom meeting invite and link!
