Welcome the Artist: Ranae Hanson!
Help us welcome Springboard's new Hinge Resident Artist, Ranae Hanson, on a virtual Zoom meeting Tuesday, May 25th, from 4 - 5pm!
Springboard's Hinge Artist Meet and Greets are free and open to anyone who is interested in meeting the artists in our program!
Join us virtually to hear more about Ranae's art practice and what she will be working on during her residency, share your ideas and things you want Ranae to know about the Fergus Falls community, and enjoy conversation with other community members and artists in an informal and welcoming setting through Zoom. Bring your favorite drink or snack while we connect!
About the Artist:
Ranae Lenor Hanson (she/her) has been an educator and a committed climate activist for forty-five years. Born into a community of storytellers in the northeastern watersheds of Minnesota, her writing and teaching are in support of ecological justice and sustainability. She collaborates frequently with Minnesota 350.org and other organizations to develop effective responses to the trauma of our changing climate. In the 1980s Hanson developed and administered several residential mental health treatment centers. She holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Minnesota and recently retired from teaching after thirty-one years at College. She tends to watersheds in St. Paul, where she lives, and in the northeast of the state.
Ranae Hanson will be participating in Hinge Arts from Monday, May 24th until Saturday, June 5th, 2021 for the Homecoming Program. You must register for this online meet and greet to receive the Zoom meeting invite and link!
