Get CERT Certified - Info Session

Artists and art-focused small businesses often have the opportunity to be hired for contracted jobs by Hennepin or Ramsey County, the City of Minneapolis or the City of Saint Paul, or their partner organizations. This can be for working on public art projects, murals, consulting, and other creative jobs. All these municipalities maintain a directory of small businesses who have CERT certification, and are eligible to be hired for these jobs.

The Central Certification (CERT) Program is designed to provide greater access to public contracting to small local businesses, including Emerging Small Business Enterprises (ESBE), small Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE) and small Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE). Both the CERT application and certification are totally free. And being in the CERT Directory is a free marketing tool, too!

Learn more about CERT Certification at an Info Session led by Mica Lee Anders (@Mica_Lee_Anders), a CERT certified visual artist, and Serena Boyce, CERT Certification Specialist with the City of St. Paul.
