Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Administration and Finance Director will be responsible for oversight of administrative and financial systems, including human resources, finance, accounting, information technology, communication, risk management, insurance and front office engagement. As a member of the leadership team, the Administration & Finance Director will be involved in a range of strategic planning and internal operations initiatives. This position will have direct management responsibility for multiple staff including Finance Manager/Registrar, Technology & Systems Manager, and Front Office/School Store Staff (3-4).

Qualifications or requirements

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

General:
 Bachelor degree or higher strongly preferred.
 Multiple years of experience in financial management and administration, including leadership roles overseeing accounting, technology, human resources, planning.
 Success seeing beyond the numbers, identifying trends and new possibilities.
 Experience with audit, insurance, legal compliance and budget development.
 Non-profit experience strongly preferred, particularly in a fast growing environment with limited budgets and resources.
 Strong general management and communication (oral, written & listening) skills.
 Experience effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, the Board or other outside partners/funders/influencers.
 Technologically savvy, with experience overseeing information systems staff or vendors.
 Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
