Folk Art Program Coordinator, Digital Learning and Outreach Initiatives

This position provides full-time (40 hours/week) support for Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum’s Folk Art Education program. The Folk Art Education Program Coordinator will assist in promoting the Folk Art program through digital learning and outreach initiatives, managing class and event registrations, facilitating digital platforms and equipment used by these programs, and help build audiences through digital and outreach programming. This position will include some travel due to arranging and facilitating occasional off-site outreach programs.
Qualifications or requirements
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in art or closely related field; high degree of comfort with technology, demonstrated knowledge of MS Office and online platforms, enjoy working with public, strong communication and writing skills, willingness to travel and work some weekends, and valid driver’s license. Note with the pandemic, that this position will begin as a remote position, with the possibility of it becoming a permanent remote position as defined within Vesterheim’s requirements.
