LRAC Grant Program Manager:
Distinguishing Features of Work. This position is responsible for working with artists and organizations that are applying for LRAC grants. Our Grant Manager answers questions, checks applications for errors, processes the applications, prepares them for review by the LRAC Board, maintains application files both in the online system. The Grant Manager oversees awarded grants until their completion. The Grants Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and works with the office staff and LRAC Board members. The Grants Manager will work with Executive Director to review policies, grant guidelines, program services, accounting and other management activities related to the grant programs.
This is a year round, full time position with health care and retirement.
Non-exempt salary, a range starting at $19, based on experience, 40 hrs. per week, approx. $39,520/year, yearly merit raises.
Health insurance, premium 60% paid by employer, 40% by employee, family coverage may be purchased by employee with no employer contribution towards premium
After a 6 month probationary period:
Holiday leave, 10.5 days/year
Vacation days, 12 days/year
Sick days, 12 days/year
Retirement, employer contributes 7% of annual employee income toward a SEP account
Expectation to work in Fergus Falls office 1-2 days per week, flexibility to work remotely other days. Strongly encouraged to live in one of the 9 LRAC supported counties, Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse, and Wilkin or the bordering communities of Fargo or Wahpeton.
Extended training period with current LRAC Grant Manager.
Qualifications or requirements
Successful candidates will be well versed in Windows and Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and Powerpoint, setting up and hosting virtual meetings and webinars in GoToMeeting, Zoom, communicating in Constant Contact, collecting and reporting data, building online forms and templates. LRAC uses the Foundant online platform to manage our grant programs, experience with Foundant or similar platform would be valued.
Experience working with a Board of Directors will be helpful

Attention to detail in managing files, archiving data, developing and improving grant programs
Value the trust the public has placed in LRAC to be good stewards of our funding, by respectful and thoughtful communicating with the public and adhering to our policies and procedures
Ability to teach applicants through webinars and other tools
Have a service focused attitude, background in public interaction and has knowledge of conflict of interest concepts
Ability to balance self-motivation and independent work with accountability and need for permission before setting precedent in grant processes
Ability to work in cooperation with other LRAC staff as a team to provide LRAC programs and services
