Gateway Music Festivals and Tours specializes in performance group travel arrangements — offering excellence in performance arrangements, sightseeing, and safe, comfortable travel. For 30 years, Gateway Music Festivals & Tours has led the music tour industry with seamless performance tours for choirs, orchestras, concert bands, jazz bands and marching bands. Our primary clients include youth, high school, college, university and adult groups, including church and alumni tours. We send groups all over the world to participate in parades, festivals and music events in major U.S. cities including Alaska & Hawaii, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and international & domestic cruises.
Gateway is based in Monticello, Minnesota with a satellite office in downtown Minneapolis.
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The International Support Coordinator provides sales/marketing and operations support in a timely manner.
This individual will be primarily responsible for supporting the international sales/marketing team through proposal building, lead qualifying and generation, and executing business development strategies and marketing campaigns. They will also provide direct support to the international operations team with logistics and tour planning. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to support the communication of tour product specifications as well as development, launch and day to day execution of the tasks involved with the tour arranging process.
This position would be based in our downtown Minneapolis office and require some workdays in Monticello as well as potential overnight and weekend domestic or international travel. The International Support Coordinator is a full time salaried position including various benefits, a casual dress code and a semi-flexible work schedule.
Provides support to the international sales and operations teams, or other staff members as needed
Acts as the first point of contact for sales/marketing team in qualifying of incoming leads
Builds proposals, including itinerary and inclusions documents, through compilation of vendor and
client requirements and information in collaboration with international sales/marketing
Foster and maintain good working relationships with vendors, clients and colleagues
Complete support tasks by communicated deadlines
Present information to, persuade, problem solve for and communicate effectively with clients and vendors
Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns
Some travel may be required
Additional responsibilities may be assigned
Qualifications or requirements
Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience in a business environment
Capacity to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of data and information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and
Aptitude for taking initiative and completing some tasks without direction
Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities while meeting firm deadlines
Ability to sustain work volume and maintain quality in a fast paced environment
Ability to understand financial documents and pricing
Ability to think outside of the box and work independently to drive projects to conclusion
Aptitude for working effectively independently and problem solve individually using all available
resources including, but not limited to, CRM database and internet research
Ability to collaborate and work as a team when required
Strong attention to detail with organized follow-up skills
Experience with domestic and international travel
Experience in a music related field
Experience with Microsoft Access
Experience with copywriting
Proficiency in Spanish language
