Are you looking for a fun, unique summer job? Come work at the Walker! We have an immediate opening for a temporary, part-time Visitor Experience Seasonal Associate. You will have the opportunity to work alongside fun, talented coworkers, amidst some incredible art, while supporting amazing programs and events.

The Walker places the highest priority on establishing an environment where all who visit feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable to explore. This position provides information, services, and equipment; serving our visitors in ways that ensure extraordinary experiences that help to promote repeat visitation, membership conversion, and all-around excellent word of mouth for the Walker.

Responsibilities include:

-Proactively and warmly acknowledge visitors, respond to questions, and provide guidance
-Maintain and distribute mini golf equipment – guaranteeing working equipment, smooth transactions and efficient visitor transitions
-Guide and seat patrons, scan tickets, distribute programs, and perform light cleaning between events
-Help to ensure the safety and security of our visitors and our public spaces; assist in crowd monitoring and emergency situations.
-Ensure program signage is properly placed and help to maintain inventory of printed information
-Resolve customer concerns in a polite and professional manner.

About the Role:

Duration: Late May through Late September
Schedule: Thursday-Sunday, 15-20 hours/week
Compensation: $15 per hour (overtime eligible), one-year Walker membership, and museum discounts.

Qualifications or requirements

-Prior experience in customer service, tourism and/or with box office procedures
-Ability to problem-solve in a quick and resourceful manner
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work with a wide range of personalities and people across a variety of cultures, generations, and abilities
-Patience, empathy, adaptability and skilled in active listening
-Foreign language skills desired (written and verbal)
