Want to join Prairie Fire Choir? We’re looking for new voices!
Auditions will take place on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 6–9pm at the Center for Performing Arts in Minneapolis. Spots will be available on a first come, first served basis via a sign-up form, which will go live on our website at (approximately) 7pm on Sunday, January 21, so set your alarms! https://www.prairiefireladychoir.org/audition/
The audition will consist of a brief interview, range testing, and of course, singing. You’ll sing one of our songs in three-part harmony. (We’ll send you all the details once you sign up.)
Membership is open to any women (cis and trans), and femme and non-binary folk whose voices fall within a certain range (find more details on the audition page of our website). Please note that in fall 2023, our members went through a collaborative process to carefully consider our name and its implications for gender inclusivity. We are excited to begin the new year with a name that better reflects our membership.
Please expect some name overlap as we work through the logistics.
