Burbfest Art Market & Festival
Moore Lake Park | Fridley, MN
July 13, 2024 | 10am-4pm

Burbfest is an annual summer festival and art market that shines a light on the creative connections happening throughout the greater Twin Cities area. The event will feature a local artist market, craft workshops, artist demonstrations, volleyball, pickleball, and even a beach dance party! Local food truck vendors and other special guests will also be in attendance.

Our art center draws from a large suburban community across the metro, making it a perfect bridge between urban and rural creative communities. At our core, we are interested in investing in our local community with creative opportunities that connect us together. This year is particularly special as the art center is commemorating 45 years of serving the greater Twin Cities community.

We are looking for volunteers interested in 1) leading a mini-craft at one of our making stations and/or 2) working on an ongoing project as part of a technique demonstration for visitors to observe. Volunteers should be willing to answer questions about process, materials, etc. and engage with event attendees.

Craft station roles will typically be at least 2 hours, and technique demonstrations may range depending on the medium/artist’s preferences. NSCA will supply craft materials for mini-crafts. Artists will need to supply materials/project for demonstration.

Mini-crafts and technique demonstrations will be included in the official schedule of events.
