Call for Artists: Lakeville Area Arts Center & Lakeville City Hall Exhibition Opportunities
The Lakeville Area Arts Center (LAAC) and Lakeville City Hall invite artists to apply for a chance to showcase their work in upcoming exhibitions. This is an exciting opportunity for artists or arts groups to display their original pieces and share their creative expressions with the community.
Exhibition Details:
• Exhibition Duration: 6-8 weeks
• Eligibility: Open to all artists or artistic groups with a complete body of work. Lakeville Area Arts Center and City Hall can hold 12 – 100 pieces of artwork, depending on size.
• Exhibition Locations: Lakeville Area Arts Center and/or Lakeville City Hall.
Artist Requirements:
• An application must be completed online.
• Artists must submit 4 works for review within the application.
• All work must be created by the artist and represent their own design.
• Professional quality reproductions of the artist’s own work are permitted.
• Artists are encouraged to become members of the Friends of the Arts Center in lieu of a hanging fee.
Sales & Commission:
• For art placed for sale, LAAC retains a 25% commission on all sold works.
• LAAC will manage all sales and process transactions at retail prices set by the artist.
• Frames are sold as part of the artwork unless otherwise noted by the artist.
• Sold artwork must remain in the exhibition until it closes, unless approved by LAAC.
• Artists will receive proceeds within 30 days after the exhibit ends.
Exhibition Installation:
• Artists are required to install and deinstall their exhibition under LAAC supervision.
• Artwork labels must follow LAAC guidelines, which will be provided.
• Hanging materials will be supplied by LAAC.
• Artwork must be framed or finished in a professional manner, labeled with the title and artist’s name, and ready for installation.

Deadline: Applications are open for the 2026 calendar year. Applications are juried on a quarterly basis.
