Minneapolis Choir Co-op (MCC) will be premiering new choral works by up-and-coming composers in Minnesota for the 2025-26 season. We are offering collaborative workshop/rehearsal time with an established choir of professional and pre-professional singers, a performance of the new work with professional audiovisual recording, as well as a $500 stipend.
As an ensemble, one of our goals is to provide opportunities for emerging artists to launch or accelerate their careers. We are especially seeking composers who are BIPOC, female, LGBTQIA+, and/or people with disabilities, to help address historic exclusion from opportunities in composition, but we will consider applications from all interested composers.

Introduce yourself in 500 words or less, including:
-What is your composition training and experience?
-Have you had works performed by ensembles before? If so, where and when?
-How would performing with Minneapolis Choir Co-op further advance your composition career?
-Are you BIPOC, female, disabled, and/or LGBTQIA+?
Submit one or two work samples, either scores and/or recordings, of compositions that showcase your artistic approach. If you don’t have work samples, describe past performances that you’ve contributed to.
