Minneapolis Choir Co-op (MCC) will provide rehearsal and performance opportunities for up to three early-career choral conductors in Minnesota for the 2025-26 season. We are offering selected conductors rehearsal time with an established choir of professional and pre-professional singers as well as a $500 stipend. Conductors will have access to professional audiovisual recordings of rehearsals and performance. Mentorship throughout the concert cycle from an established conductor is available as needed.
As an ensemble, one of our goals is to provide opportunities for emerging artists to launch or accelerate their careers. We are especially seeking conductors who are BIPOC, female, LGBTQIA+, and/or with disabilities, in order to help address historic exclusion from opportunities in leading ensembles, but we will consider applications from all interested conductors.
