The Minneapolis Choir Co-op (MCC) is looking to premiere new choral works by up-and-coming composers in Minnesota for the 2024-25 season. We are offering up to three selected composers collaborative workshop/rehearsal time with an established choir of professional and pre-professional singers, a performance of the new work with professional audiovisual recording, as well as a $500 stipend.
As an ensemble, one of our goals is to provide opportunities for emerging artists to launch or accelerate their careers. We are especially seeking composers who are BIPOC, female, disabled, and/or LGBTQIA+, to help address historic exclusion from opportunities in composition, but we will consider applications from all interested composers.
If you have any questions please reach out to our team at minneapolischoircoop@gmail.com. We are looking for compositions for three performances for the season. The deadline for the first round is due August 15, 2024.
Application Questions – please send an email to minneapolischoircoop@gmail.com answering the questions.
