Knight Foundation Cultural Opportunity Fund
Open to artists statewide
The Knight Foundation Cultural Opportunity Fund provides Minnesota performing artists and ensembles the opportunity to receive financial support to produce an event in the Ordway’s Concert Hall.
To submit a proposal, develop an idea for a venue-appropriate event of any kind, and submit an application online. Full submission guidelines, FAQ, and application can be found at https://ArtsPartnership.org/KnightFund
Applicants must be based in Minnesota to be eligible. All submitted applications will be reviewed for feasibility, and evaluated by a panel of judges for:
– clearly articulated outreach strategies
– organizational capacity to execute a successful event
– productions that help fulfill the organization’s mission and/or advance the artist’s career
Venue-appropriate events could include, but are not limited to: concerts, film screenings, author readings, workshops, recordings, and/or lectures. Priority is given to proposals from emerging and mid-range performing arts organizations/ensembles, with an emphasis on cultural and artistic diversity.
Awardees will be notified in mid-March.
