Over the past fifty years, the Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program (MAEP) has showcased and supported more than 3,000 artists from across the state working in an array of media and styles. Today, the MAEP hosts three exhibitions and programs. To learn more about the MAEP, visit new.artsmia.org/maep.
As we look ahead to the next fifty years, the MAEP Advisory Committee will play a crucial role in shaping the program’s future. Advisors are artists who live and work in Minnesota. As artists, they play a crucial role in fostering connections between their communities and the museum.
They will work closely with the MAEP Supervisor and Mia’s teams to promote and support regional artists, ensuring the program is inclusive, equitable, and accessible. Mia is committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility. For more information about Mia’s DEIA initiatives, click here.
The Advisory Committee reviews applications to the Open Calls. They select and rank three applications for final review by Mia’s internal committee. One application will receive $13,500 to realize their proposed exhibition in Mia’s U.S. Bank Gallery. Learn more about the role of the Advisory Committee below.
