Exciting news from First Peoples Fund’s Oglala Lakota Artspace (OLA)! We’re thrilled to announce that we are currently accepting applications for the OLA Artist-in-Residence (AiR) Program, right in the heart of Kyle, South Dakota, on the Pine Ridge Reservation. This special program is crafted to empower Oglala Lakota artists and culture bearers who are passionate about Lakota art in all its forms – from historical and traditional to contemporary. It’s a fantastic opportunity for artists to enhance their skills, collaborate with fellow local creatives, and engage deeply with the community.

Increase access to cultural resources and creative spaces
Enhance cultural identity and community unity
Engage intergenerational audiences
Strengthen ties to cultural homelands
