This hands-on workshop offers musicians a beginner-friendly introduction to Sibelius, the industry-standard music notation software. Participants will learn the basics of navigating the interface, inputting notes, formatting scores, and preparing sheet music for rehearsal or performance. Ideal for music creators, performers, and educators looking to bring their musical ideas to life. No prior experience with Sibelius is required, and the free basic version will be available.
Public speaking is so much more than just wedding toasts and keynote speeches, especially when you’re a working artist. In this interactive workshop, participants will follow Alex Artist over the course of a day as they use public speaking to accomplish tasks like talking to customers at an art fair, delivering a pitch to an investor, sitting on a panel, attending a networking event, and giving an artist talk. Along the way participants will have opportunities to practice skills in solo, partner, and small group exercises.

The market will feature work from over 35 local print-based artists, from letterpress to screen printing and more. Volunteers from Prepare+Prosper will be available in the Resource Lab to guide small groups through organizing receipts and tax documents, identifying potential deductions, and preparing materials for filing. We will not file your taxes for you during the session, but we’ll ensure you’re prepared to file using Prepare+Prosper platforms or another filing service. Each session is 1 hr and limited spots are available.
