We are looking for volunteers to staff Art-A-Whirl 2024!
Quincy Hall
New for 2024! NEMAA will be activating an artist market with 50 artists inside the Quincy Hall venue. Volunteers will help assist with load-in and load-out for vendor artists, staff NEMAA’s Art-A-Whirl info booth, sell Art-A-Whirl t-shirts, welcome visitors, and assist with way-finding. Quincy Hall will also feature a Quiet Room, lounge area, and restrooms for attendees. This is a high traffic area in the “heart of Art-A-Whirl.” Volunteers should be able to lift/carry 50lbs, squat/reach, and stand for 2-3 hours. A few may be needed to valet vehicles for disabled artist vendors during load-in & load-out shifts. Volunteers who sign up for three shifts will receive a full weekend parking pass at the Highlight Center lot just south of Quincy Hall.
Northrup King Building
These volunteers welcome Art-A-Whirl attendees at specific studio buildings. We encourage volunteers to get to know the artists, mediums, and activities at specific studio buildings, and help guests navigate the sites with knowledge of bathroom locations, stairs, elevators, and suggestions of artists and programming to visit.
California Building
