The 2024 Work of Art Facilitator Training is designed for artists, arts leaders, and arts educators who want to lead the Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists curriculum in their community or classes.
It features a deep dives on the curriculum materials, exploration of pedagogy, and strategies for including Work of Art materials into existing programming, or how to develop new programs based on Work of Art.
This training is ideal for arts organization staff interested in offering professional development and business skills training to artists in their community; professors and teachers interested in including practical business skills in their class curricula; and individual artists with high capacity to organize and teach in their community.

Registration now open through October 30, 2024.
The 2024 Work of Art Facilitator Training will take place over four weeks, two days a week. We'll meet virtually, beginning with introductions, then a presentation/discussion on how Springboard approaches pedagogy, considerations for planning a workshop series in different communities, and workshop logistics. On subsequent days, we'll tackle moving through the 12-part series, answering questions about curriculum, breaking down more complicated exercises, and hearing participant reflections and ideas for implementing the curriculum in their community.
Each participant will receive a copy of the Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists Workbook.
"I genuinely believe that every cornerstone of the Training served a greater purpose. There was this value-chain of lectures, and post-lecture discussions with the cohort, and being able to deduce everyone's thought processes, and gaining greater understanding of the course material, and genuinely be able to create amazing bonds with like minded individuals.
In summary, every component of the Intensive had it's merits. I genuinely found the product to be of great service."

"The content was presented so well--it was thoughtful and compassionate, and was truly inclusive in a way I've not had the opportunity to experience in many other virtual learning situations (thank you for this). But this was the most effective part, because it was inspiring to strive to teach the content the same way in my own community."

"The materials are brilliant. They are practical, clear, inspirational, interactive and very well done. The facilitators were every bit as good in the work that they did. It was a wonderful training."
