Project Summary
Avenues seeks to engage two artists/artist teams to design and execute artworks for two key locations at the building:
ARTWORK COMMISSION #1:
Exterior entry murals, over the two entries to the building: the main entry on 8th Ave N, and the apartment entry on Humboldt Ave N
ARTWORK COMMISSION #2:
Interior mural or other 2-dimensional artwork, in building’s main entry/lobby space

The building is currently under construction, and we anticipate artwork will be installed in Summer 2026. In the RFP, see the “Process” section for more information on the timeline.
Artists are welcome to apply for both commissions, but Avenues will select two different artists/artist teams: one for each commission. In the RFP, see the “Application Instructions” section for details on applying.
Avenues may have additional opportunities for artists to create artwork at other locations in the building and on the site later in 2026, pending budget.
