Two Gallery opportunities for regional visual artists.
Lanesboro, Minn. – Lanesboro Arts is now accepting entries for both our Juried Sales Gallery (2026) and Exhibition Gallery (2027 solo exhibits). A jury will convene in December to make selections.
The Lanesboro Arts Juried Sales and Exhibition Galleries strive to be a public gathering space where artists are uplifted and visitors are inspired. In line with Lanesboro Art’s mission to serve as a regional catalyst for artistic excellence and educational development in providing diverse art experiences for all ages, the Galleries present exhibitions, programming, and sales opportunities that initiate discussion and connection. Both galleries present work from Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
Lanesboro Arts created the Equitable Systems Change Program for the Lanesboro Arts Gallery as a commitment to a thorough review and change of current systems and processes, based on detailed recommendations to align practices with equity values and more deeply serve marginalized artists. This ongoing program provides an important lens that informs both the Juried Sales and Exhibition Galleries.
Pieces selected for the Juried Sales Gallery present a unique vision, original voice, and quality craftsmanship. More than 80 artists are represented in the Juried Sales Gallery. Most artists have shown their artwork in the Gallery for multiple years. However, each year, a few more are selected to evolve the offerings—and to create opportunities for new artists and artisans to display and sell their work.
The Exhibition Gallery hosts several solo shows each year. Diverse perspectives and mediums are represented, with an opportunity for visitors to meet the artist(s) at an opening reception. To allow artists time to develop their work, jury selections are made in advance of the scheduled exhibits.
To apply, artists may complete the online application available on the Lanesboro Arts website. From the homepage of lanesboroarts.org, click on ‘Artist Opportunities’ on the sidebar, and then on ‘Gallery Applications’. To complete the application, artists are asked to submit images via Google Drive or Dropbox. All visual arts media are eligible – both 2-D and 3-D. For those who prefer, you may submit a video application to gallery@lanesboroarts.org, with the subject line “Gallery Application”. Both Juried Sales and Exhibition Gallery applications have a deadline this year of December 31st.
