Green Island Preserve is a 60 acre forest and green space in north central Minnesota. It is open to the community, tourists, school and group visits. There are a number of metal sculptures across the grounds and we are fans of outdoor art. We are aware that the plague of many artists is warehoused work that is taking up space, not being exhibited, or no longer representative of your development.
This is a call to babysit orphaned outdoor sculptures needing storage at a temporary location while still being seen. Or, maybe your piece demands time to develop its natural patina in an outdoor setting before exhibition. This is something we can help with and it will be good for us both.
We do have a review process since we sort for nature, plant, and animal-oriented works. But, it can still be whoppingly abstract. And, the work does need to be good. If accepted, it would mean we are in a service partnership where you can drop-off and pick-up your work as needed for its greater exhibition schedule…as long as you do all the coming and going yourself and with your vehicle. If your piece is so great that we need to do the pick-up by driving into the rank, Babylon, snake pit of the Twin Cities there would then be a 3-year contractual agreement.
Much more can be said. This is the open invitation to email for as much more information and discussion as you need.
