The Phipps Center for the Arts invites artists to submit their work for consideration for solo, two-person and small group exhibition opportunities in the six professional exhibition spaces of the Phipps Galleries for the 2027-2028 season. The Phipps Center for the Arts is a multidisciplinary art center located in Hudson, Wisconsin. Artists may additionally choose to be considered for our Enriching Arts program which brings original art to community exhibition locations, including healthcare and senior living facilities in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Submissions will be anonymously juried by the Arts Engagement Director and members of the Phipps Visual Arts Council which includes artists, art professionals and those with an interest in promoting the arts in the St. Croix Valley. We will evaluate submissions based on creativity, technical skill, and overall impact. Artists who have exhibited in the Phipps galleries within the past two years are not eligible for consideration and submitted work must be new to the Phipps (excluding Members’ Spotlight and large group exhibitions).
We welcome traditional and non-traditional media, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, digital art, photography, printmaking, drawing, fiber, ceramics, video, and installation.
The Phipps is looking for a diverse range of perspectives, styles, and techniques and we encourage artists of all backgrounds and media to apply.
