Falls Community Arts Exchange: Potluck & Recipe Book Launch with Angelina LaPointe

Join us for a potluck and the launch of “Lundeen’s Family Recipes”, a recipe book created by California-based artist Angelina LaPointe during a four-week residency with Springboard for the Arts. Partnering with Victor Lundeen Company, Angelina explored the rich history of this longtime Fergus Falls business through stories, recipes, and community connections. We’re excited to share the finished book and celebrate the project together!

Recipes from the cookbook will be available to sample. You’re also welcome (but not required!) to bring a favorite family recipe and/or a dish to share at the potluck. Come hungry and ready to connect!

Meet the Featured Artist

Featured Artist: Angelina LaPointe (she/her)

Bio: Angelina LaPointe is a Lompoc, California-based multidisiplinary artist who specializes in block and letterpress printing. The founder of Sidecar Press, her vibrant, intricate works – rooted in inclusive values and themes of nostalgia and memory – range from portraiture to her native state’s flora and fauna, encompassing fine art, public art, and illustrative commercial sensibilities.

LaPointe’s work also revolves around the tension that arises from contrast, not only in the black and white of the medium, but in the use of turn-of-the-century technology in our modern world. At present, LaPointe is ideating large-scale modular installations; community activation and cultivation, including public demonstrations, are intrinsic to her creative practice. sidecar-press.com
