Springboard on Ice

About

Since its inception, Springboard on Ice has celebrated the winter season through artist-led activities that center joy, community, and connection. Each year, Springboard staff builds a pop-up mini ice rink on our front lawn in Saint Paul, MN, and invites our neighbors to enjoy the winter season with us through events that include Winter Whirl, an all-day community celebration, partnerships with Saint Paul area schools, and open skate days with our Frogtown/Rondo neighbors.

A special thank you to our program partners, Brownbody, a community-centered nonprofit organization whose mission is to liberate Black artistry through dance, theatre, and figure skating.  Learn more about their work at www.brownbody.org.

Springboard on Ice is an annual series, and most events are open to the public. Free rental skates are provided for all ages. All participants must sign a safety waiver before skating on the rink, and participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent and/or legal guardian.
