Artists – the job search just got a little easier! After over 20 years serving artists in Minnesota, Springboard for the Arts has announced a robust expansion to its lauded online Job Board. Through a new partnership with Arts Midwest, the expanded Job Board will now actively serve the entire Midwest: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and the Native Nations that share this geography.
With the shared goal of making the job search easier for everybody, we’ve partnered with Arts Midwest to introduce the new and improved Job Board, which will continue to connect artists to arts-related jobs, with expanded filtering tools, salary transparency, vetted positions, and paid opportunities from a growing directory of employers.
“For the last twenty years, the Job Board has been many Minnesota artists’ and arts workers’ first point of contact with Springboard for the Arts…including mine! In 2010, I used it to apply for the job that eventually became my current position.” said Andy Sturdevant, Artist Resources Manager, Springboard for the Arts. “Artists and arts workers trust our Job Board because it is transparent, focused, and intentionally curated. Springboard for the Arts and Arts Midwest are excited to expand that commitment to transparency and quality beyond Minnesota and serve people across the Midwest who design, fundraise, give tours, balance books, build sets, manage programs, and do the countless other jobs that make our region’s arts and culture sector possible.”
“I hear often from artists and organizations outside of Minnesota that they wish there was a one-stop-shop for arts and culture jobs in the Midwest. Springboard already has a Job Board people love and trust, so partnering to expand it just made sense. When Midwestern artists can easily find their next job or gig, and Midwestern arts organizations know where to go to find their next great hire, the whole region benefits.” said Alana Horton, Director of Content and Communications, Arts Midwest.
