Call for Artists: Open Streets MPLS™

Our Streets is seeking an artist for the 2026 Open Streets Minneapolis™ design. This design will be utilized on the poster, t-shirts, and other promotional materials. The chosen artist will be compensated a flat fee of $600.

Check out the creative brief to see if you’re a good fit. To apply, you do not need to create a design. You will only have to create new work for the event series if you are selected.

Creative Brief

• No more than 3 colors used
• Vector artwork, or a design that is relatively easy to convert to vector artwork
• Primarily for use on the front or back of a screenprinted t-shirt and an 11×17 poster (leave room for event information below)
• Include the following copy: Open Streets MPLS 2026 OR Open Streets Minneapolis 2026, artist preference
• Imagery visualizes or exudes the joy of the car-free celebration (e.g., walking freely, bicycling, dancing, food trucks, makers market vendors, and whatever else you feel represents the spirit of Open Streets MPLS)
