storytelling, and community impact. Working with Greene Espel and an impactful nonprofit organization, the selected artist will create an original single or multipanel artwork inspired by themes of justice, perspective, and possibility. The completed work will serve as the centerpiece of Greene Espel’s annual holiday communication and offer an opportunity to engage with the nonprofit organization’s mission and translate those conversations into a compelling visual expression.

ABOUT THE INITIATIVE
This commission is part of a new multi-year initiative that brings together Greene Espel, a nonprofit
partner, and a Minnesota artist to create original artwork inspired by a shared vision for the future. Each
year, a different artist and nonprofit partner will explore themes of justice, perspective, and possibility
through art and storytelling. The initiative aims to elevate both the nonprofit and artist while creating a
meaningful annual tradition.
