Call for Artists: Midwest Tintamarresque

An art exhibition of interactive, life-sized works that engage bodies, play, and imagination in unexpected ways.

We’re looking for 10 creative & playful concepts inspired by “face-in-the-hole” cut out figures — reimagined through humor, storytelling, & audience participation. Artists are encouraged to ponder: “What imagery can I get behind?”

Digital entries only. 10 concept sketches will be selected from entries due July 14th, with announcements on July 21st. From there the 10 selected artists will refine their concepts in their preferred medium and submit digital representations by December 1st, 2026. The link provided details much of the workings.
