Call for Exhibition Proposals 2026-2027

The James Wegner Gallery at Riverland Community College is currently seeking exhibition proposals for shows in 2026-2027. The gallery is located on the Austin campus of Riverland Community College and features 25 ft wide x 31 ft deep X 10 ft tall walls (87 linear feet of wall space) lit by track lighting. The front wall is made up of large glass windows with a ledge. The gallery has open hours during the week M-F 10-6pm with some weekend hours for special events. Proposals can range from individual artists, group exhibitions or curatorial proposals. The selection committee may also suggest pairing artists (at the artist’s discretion) in a two-person exhibit.

Eligibility:

This Call for Art is open to all artists 18+, local, national, emerging or established. We encourage artists who reside or have a connection to Austin or the regional area to apply, and artists of color are particularly encouraged to submit their work.

• 1 page Exhibition Proposal
• Work Samples: Artists may submit 10-20 images of their work, including detail or installation shots if appropriate. If using jpeg format 3mb or less per image. You may also combine your images together in a pdf or powerpoint, or include a link to websites or digital media.
• Image List/Descriptions of work samples
