Eastside Food Co-op is looking for local makers and creatives to lead joyful, hands-on workshops as part of our creative workshop series: ART LIVES HERE, funded by The Cultural Districts Arts Fund POP-UP ART & CULTURAL ACTIVATIONS PROGRAM AWARDS.
ART LIVES HERE: Eastside’s Creative Workshop Series is a vibrant, community-rooted arts program that will bring free, monthly pop-up workshops to Central Avenue throughout 2027. Led by Minnesota-based artists, these workshops will invite neighbors of all ages and backgrounds to make art, learn new skills, and connect in an open, welcoming space.
Each session will highlight a different creative medium (think printmaking, textiles, collage, storytelling, dance, mixed media, etc.) and be facilitated by an artist with a strong commitment to community engagement. We’re especially excited to work with artists who reflect the rich cultural diversity of Northeast Minneapolis and who are passionate about sharing their creative practices in inclusive, beginner-friendly ways. Our goal is to make art feel approachable, collaborative, and joyful — for everyone.
We believe art lives in our everyday spaces and in the hands of everyday people. This series is about building relationships, celebrating culture, and affirming that creativity belongs to us all.
