Open Call for Twin Cities Indigenous Short Film Festival

Z Puppets Rosenschnoz invites Indigenous filmmakers living in the Twin Cities to submit short family-friendly films by March 15, 2026.

Z Puppets will feature the selected films at two free public screening events, Sat. April 25 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. (at Z Puppets’ studio, 4054 Chicago Ave., in Minneapolis).

Z Puppets’ Creative Director Chris Griffith (Cherokee Nation) will lead the selection process of up to 5 short films with these priorities:

• family-friendly 

• maximum length of 10 minutes

• artist availability to attend one of the showings for informal q & a/meet and greet

Featured filmmakers will receive $300.

ABOUT Z PUPPETS ROSENSCHNOZ (ZPR):
ZPR was founded and is led by Chris Griffith (Cherokee Nation) and Shari Aronson. They bring the power of playfulness to people of all ages and abilities through live and online performances, arts education and feats of imagination.
