Call to Artists: 54th annual Park Point Art Fair in Duluth

Apply by March 15 for June 27 & 28, 2026 event

Duluth, Minn. – The Park Point Art Fair (PPAF) is accepting applications for jury review until March 15 for its 54th annual art show June 27 & 28, 2026 in Duluth, Minnesota. Visual artists are invited to apply in the following media: printmaking, painting, sculpture, mixed media, ceramics, glass, wood, photography, jewelry and fiber. To apply and learn more about the jury process, requirements and booth fees, go to parkpointartfair.org or directly to https://www.zapplication.org/event-info.php?ID=14155

The PPAF features 110 juried artists from across the region and nation who exhibit their award-winning work in a festive atmosphere enhanced by food trucks, music, demonstrations and interactive art-making stations. The annual two-day show draws an estimated 10,000+ visitors for a free summer celebration along the pristine shores of Lake Superior. This established event is the premiere art show of its kind in the region; and considered a gem by artists who want easy set-up, dedicated support, consistent sales and exceptional artist hospitality.

For 54 years, the Park Point Community Club has hosted this signature summer gathering at the Park Point Recreation Area at the end of Park Point, also called Minnesota Point. One artist described it well when they said, “I love the community spirit! I appreciate how many Park Point residents volunteer to help. And there is a special connection between the artists that is stronger than in other shows. Most of all, the community shows up to support the artists, even with rain in the forecast. I noticed that many visitors came with empty tote bags and were planning to shop for art.”

Attending artists receive perks that go above and beyond typical art fairs. The community club hosts an appreciation dinner for artists and volunteers. Volunteers greet attendees, provide booth-sitting services and offer setup assistance to artists. Artists are awarded for excellence based on an on-site review by art professionals, with the club awarding cash prizes to artists in seven categories and Best of Show, plus an invitation to the next year’s event.

A word of caution to anyone unfamiliar with applying: the only place to apply and pay a $35 jury fee — and the booth fee for those selected and notified — is through the Park Point Art Fair’s online Zapplication event page

“Anyone suggesting on social media (or elsewhere) that an artist or vendor can pay them directly is falsely representing our event,” said PPAF volunteer Jake Kapsner. “It’s an issue that we battled on Facebook in 2025. With the rise of bots, spammers and scammers on these platforms, it’s a social media frustration that all types of festivals have had to contend with more and more. Scammers even create fake social versions of events and post fake invitations to pay them money for a booth, tickets or service that doesn’t exist. Consumers need to be aware, so they don’t get scammed.”

Recognition

With an established team and dedicated board of directors, the Park Point Art Fair was a 2014 and 2015 recipient of The Minnesota State Arts Board’s Festival Support Grant and a grant recipient from the city of Duluth tourism fund in 2024, 2025,  and 2026.
