The Cloud House residency is a registered 501c3 organization open to emerging and mid-career visual artists, curators and writers with a special interest in contemporary art. Projects should reflect a committed artistic practice with critical, conceptual depth and engage with current cultural conversations. Preference will be given to projects that engage with the Twin Cities’ history and culture, a specific local site, archive or organization, or creative affinities with a local community. In order to ensure that residents are provided with necessary support, The Cloud House will endeavor to locate and engage the participation of suitable venues, individuals, and organizations.
Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals for projects that can be substantially accomplished with resources available in the Twin Cities, demonstrate a willingness to connect with the local arts scene, and the independence necessary to fulfill their goals on their own.
