CALL FOR ENTRIES: OPEN TO VISUAL ARTISTS IN ALL MEDIA
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
● Up to three entries per artist. (One or two digital images per entry.)
● Artist statement of approximately 50 words for exhibit catalog.
● $25 entry fee per artist.
● Must be original artwork (no prints or copies) completed in 2023, 2024 or 2025, and not previously shown in the Edge Gallery.
CALENDAR
● Entry deadline……………. Monday, June 1
● Notification………………… Monday, July 3
● Artwork received by……… Monday, August 4 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Work delivered or shipped at artist’s expense
● Awards at Reception……. Friday, August 8, 5–7 p.m.
● Pick up artwork.……………Saturday, August 30, 4–5 p.m. or Monday, September, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
JURIED ART SHOW
A juried art show is organized in a time-honored way. An independent juror is chosen because of their involvement in the visual arts—either as a working artist, a gallery or museum curator, an art teacher, or all of the above. The juror is paid to select from submitted artwork those pieces that they think are the strongest. Inevitably, some submitted pieces are rejected. The local gallery committee has no input in selection or awards, and the juror’s decisions are final.
AWARDS Best of Show: $300 Awards of Excellence (2): $150 each People’s Choice: $100
EDGE GALLERY POLICIES
● Artists must be 16 years or older.
● Any work submitted for judging must be available for showing during the entire exhibit.
● Edge Gallery reserves the right to reproduce works for publicity purposes.
● Artists are responsible for their own insurance.
● Edge Gallery charges a 30% commission fee on all sales.
