C/Art: Lowertown is a program of Springboard for the Arts, offering three mobile art platforms designed to bring art and artists onto the sidewalks of St Paul’s Lowertown and into contact with new audiences. Summer 2019 season begins June 1!
C/Arts are available to be checked out for free from Springboard’s office and used as rolling bases for artists of any medium to sell art to, interact with and perform for Lowertown’s growing street-level audience while simultaneously animating and increasing visibility of the Lowertown/St. Paul artist community. The three C/Arts include 2 market C/Arts (named Prince Street & Wall Street) and one fold-out performance C/Art (named Broadway).
To check out a C/Art
Anyone interested in checking out a C/Art will need to create an online account at Springboard's My Turn check out system here! Click “Create Account” and fill out the form. Once your account is approved you will be given access to reserving the C/Art. To receive approval for checking out the C/Arts, users must attend a C/Art Orientation- see below.

Create an account with Springboard's MyTurn portal to begin using the C/Arts around Lowertown! Once your account is approved, you can reserve C/Arts to use.
Where can C/Arts be used?
We've worked to set up location partnerships for the C/Arts so they can be used at visible points around Lowertown. Locations include the Northern Warehouse in front of AZ Gallery(with a fee), Farmers' Market lot, CHS Field Plaza, Mears Park and Golden's. Locations not listed may be in the Right of Way and can require extra permits and cost. For more details on locations click here, or email cart@springboardforthearts.org with questions.
Orientations for new C/Art users
Still need to attend an orientation? Email cart@springboardforthearts.com. Groups will meet in the lobby of the Northern Warehouse. Orientations should take about 15-30 minutes.
Time your check out to existing events and audiences!
Make the most of your C/Art check out by reaching the largest audience during Lowertown events like Farmer's Market, Saints games and other local events.

Updated as the summer continues.
