We're throwing a party, and you're invited!

Join us for the first ever Fall Fest on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 1-5pm Central Time at Springboard for the Arts in Saint Paul! This special anniversary party and open house will feature artist-led activities, demos, performances, installations, and more. Meet Springboard Artist Fellows and Cohort Members, explore our current and new programs, and celebrate #CreativePeoplePower with our staff, board, and Saint Paul neighbors.

Live roller skating performance at 2:00pm from Twin Cities Skaters

Public remarks at 2:30pm in our Community Hall (also live-streamed on YouTube)

Explore artist-led activities and performances throughout our building, including:

✹ Interactive pottery demonstrations with ceramicist Blayze Buseth 

✹ Join artist & Rural Regenerator Fellow Melissa Wray to create your own felt banner with a word or two that inspires you to continue changing systems, growing communities, and dreaming vibrant futures

✹ Gather around the Really Big Table, a Ready Go mobile tool and 25 foot-long modular table

✹ Print your own postcards with Streetcorner Letterpress, a Ready Go mobile printing experience

✹ Zine-making with Heather C. Lou and Kari Lee Art, plus artwork for sale from local artists and makers on Springboard's ReadyMade roster

✹ Meet Springboard's Artist Career Consultants who support artists, artist entrepreneurs, and creative small business owners of all disciplines

✹ In partnership with the Capitol Region Watershed District, we commissioned artists Anna Haglin (of Ready Go mobile tool Paper Plains), Sophie Wang, and Sam Williams to create new work around water and conservation including stickers, zines, and seed packets

✹ Learn about Springboard's Guaranteed Minimum Income for Artistsprogram and take home a coloring book created by artist Briauna Williams

Fall Fest will also feature plenty of activities for families and kiddos of all ages including:

✹ Face painting with Keshawn's Characters

✹ Picture Book Parade & Story Hour

✹ Bubbles

✹ Selfie stations

Springboard's site is ADA accessible and ASL translation will be available for the full event. This event is FREE and open to all ages.
