The program is open to the following disciplines: painting, drawing, mixed media, writing, and photography. The residency is for a 3-week period beginning October 1 – October 22, 2024. Space at the Madeline Island School of the Arts (MISA) is available for the period to be used as a studio/work space as well as a place for studio visits with the public, talks or presentations, exhibit or performance space. The space has work tables, bathroom facilities, and sink. Lodging is provided for 3 weeks at Chateau Madeline in a private cottage, located a few miles from downtown La Pointe. The property is located on Lake Superior on a beautiful wooded estate. The artist is responsible for providing all supplies, food, and travel expenses. A vehicle is necessary for transportation to, from, and on the island. The artist will be paid a stipend of $500 per week.
