Twin Cities Collage Collective is pleased to announce an open call for collage artists residing in Minnesota — submit your work to be considered for NORTH STAR COLLAGE #3, a publication featuring work by Minnesota-based collage artists! Submit your work by May 31st, 2024.
This is the third issue of NORTH STAR COLLAGE. Issue 1, published in 2021, featured work from 24 artists. Issue 2, published in 2022, saw the project growing enormously, and featured work from 75 Minnesota-based artists! In 2023, the project took a break, but we’re excited to be returning in 2024. Many of the projects we do have an international scope, but the NORTH STAR COLLAGE series is intended to create a contemporary, expansive exploration of the medium in the North Star State. This opportunity is open to ALL artists currently living and working in Minnesota, though Twin Cities Collage Collective is based in the Twin Cities area. Any artist residing in Minnesota who uses collage in their practice is encouraged to submit their work. If you have had work published in NORTH STAR COLLAGE before, you are welcomed to submit again.
Our definition of collage is expansive and inclusive. Handcut/analog, digital and mixed media collages are all welcomed. If collage is part of your practice, we’d love to hear from you. We are focused on inclusion and intersectionality, seeking to platform and uplift artists of historically and contemporaneously marginalized identity. Emerging artists, BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ creatives are especially encouraged to submit work.
Open theme, no fee to submit — we want to see your best work! Published artists will receive one copy of the publication after the project is completed.
